The third generation of SIG’s MCX platform is accurate, ergonomic, and very well suited to its role as a modern iteration of the AR-15 and 18 rifles. The 11.5″ 5.56 version is plenty accurate, able to make consistent hits at 500 yards on C-zone steel while also able to to move seemless around close obstacles, corners, and doors. It is a excellent rifle topped with a 1-6 or a dot and magnifier. It’s main detractor is the price tag, being on the higher end for 5.56 rifles. It also comes set for SIG suppressors, setting it up for other brands takes a little more effort due to the tapered barrels. Overall, excellent experience with the system.
