Since 1964 Charter Arms has been producing affordable revolvers primarily for the self-defense market. Their newest handgun is in the Pathfinder line and is chambered for the .22 WMR (Magnum) cartridge. It also fits in with the Off-Duty series as it has a concealed hammer making it DAO. Its unique 8-shot cylinder has flutes between the chambers, with additional smaller flutes on the outer walls of the chambers. This helps to reduce weight, which is a mere 14 oz. Its 2-inch barrel has an ejector rod shroud and serrated ramp front sight. The rear sight is a fixed square notch and made into the top-strap of the aircraft-grade aluminum frame. The right side of the frame is laser-etched with Charter Arms emblem. It has black synthetic “Ribber” combat grips. Overall length of this new Charter wheelgun is 6.25-inches; its aluminum frame and grip frame are black anodized and the steel barrel and cylinder have a Blacknitride+ finish.
