The Shield X feels less like an update and more like the Shield finally finished. It keeps the thin, easy-to-carry profile that made the Shield popular but adds real capacity, a usable light rail, better grip geometry, and an optics-ready slide that make it practical to train with. It shoots flatter than it should for its size and carries comfortably all day. This is the first Shield I have actually wanted to keep.
