Modeled closely to the Shadow 2, the CZ TS2 is built with a Single Action Only operating system. The CZ TS2 includes aggressively textured aluminum grip and an aluminum mag well for faster reloads. The TS2 uses CZ’s inverted rail system which reduces the amount of mass on top, minimizing muzzle flip. An extra tall magazine release on the TS2 offers fast and confident engagement. The TS2 includes front cocking serrations for easier slide manipulation. Top serrations on the TS2 help reduce glare and the fiber-optic sight offers good visibility for target acquisition. The TS2’s semi-flat triggers was the lightest the author has tried, breaking at only 1.45 pounds of pressure. With its low bore axis and its weight of 48.5 ounces, the CZ TS2 had remarkably little muzzle flip. While an outstanding setup for competition, the TS2’s hair trigger might not be the first choice for defensive use.
But when the day was done and the last shot fired, it was a photo finish with the CZ TS2 taking the win. Granted, it’s not what most would consider a value leader, but it scored so highly in the other areas, the value is found in having one of the best out-of-the box pistols being manufactured today.
