Rost Martin took their already great compact 9mm RM1C and added a compensator to tame recoil for more control in rapid-fire. It works! I found I could shoot tighter rapid-fire groups with it than I could with the full size RM1F in the same amount of time. Perhaps this is no surprise since the compensator is as big as a bottle opener.
(Spoiler: You can’t open bottles without shortening the front of the front sight.) Other than 0.5 inches less rifling in the barrel, the big cut in the top of the barrel and slide, and a 1 inch shorter sight radius, the features and overall dimensions of the compensated pistol remain identical to the standard RM1C.
