The next gun in the mix was the Taurus TX 22 CompetitionThis is a custom-tuned version of Taurus’ polymer sporting pistol. This full-size, semi-auto rimfire was re-engineered to meet the rigorous performance demands set by competition shooters. The upgraded, red-dot optics-ready slide and 5-inch threaded bull barrel assembly bring match-grade accuracy and versatility to any shooting discipline. The upper portion of the Competition model’s slide is skeletonized from the ejection port to just behind the front sight. The top of the breech portion of the barrel takes a base plate, and the two included adapters allow the pistol to accept a number of red-dot optics, including the Trijicon RMR and Leupold DeltaPoint, as well as several others. The TX 22 had a definite race gun feel to it without the painful price tag usually associated with race rigs.
