Tisas just released the all-new PX-9 2.0 Gen 3 Duty Comp pistol, and the value of this pistol is too good. The ergonomics of this gun improve upon the original PX-9 design with a newly redesigned take down lever, slide, and ported/compensated barrel. The take down lever doubles as a thumb rest with added texture to ensure your support hand grip is spot on. The flat-faced trigger breaks cleanly and is outfitted with a trigger safety. The reset could be improved as you must come off the trigger a noticeable amount for it to reset. The reliability of this pistol with various types of ammunition is what impressed me most. It had zero malfunctions, even when I fired Federal Syntech, flat-nose, and various full-metal-jacket loads. The accuracy isn’t the best, but it groups well enough for a pistol that costs a little over $500. Finally, the compensated barrel works wonders in reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise, making this gun significantly easier to shoot compared to non-compensated pistols. Overall, I’m impressed by the Duty Comp and was genuinely surprised by its performance.
