I’m continually surprised at the high quality of firearms being manufactured in and imported from Turkey. SDA Arms has several brands of imported arms in their line, one of them being Tisas. One of the latest Tisas offerings is the PX-9 Comp series. The PX-9 family is composed of striker-fired, polymer framed, hi-cap 9mm pistols. They include Carry, Duty and Tactical versions with 3.5, 4.1 and 5.1-inch barrels respectively. The new models have a compensator port cut into the slide and barrel near the muzzle. Other features include a white dot front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, optics ready slide, loaded chamber indicator, a square-faced aluminum trigger, and a polymer grip frame that has inserts that allow up to 27 different grip configurations. The slide and barrel have a Tenifer QPQ finish and all internal parts are nickel-coated. The version tested was the Carry Comp with a 3.5-inch barrel, overall length is 6.7-inches, and an empty weight of 1.56 lbs. MSRP is $562.20.
