The last gun in our competition was the Walther WMP. This pistol from Walther changed things up a bit as it was chambered in .22 WMR. The gun features an optics-ready slide, good ergonomics and a first-time patented ambidextrous reloading mechanism incorporating both paddle and button releases called the Quad Release. In some circles, the .22 WMR is considered useful as a self-defense round. While this is debatable, it is certainly better than traditional .22 LR. One side effect of the WMP being chambered in this round is the epic fireball that erupts from the barrel when the gun is fired. To a bystander, the gun may appear to be a bit of a cannon, but it is far from that. The WMP is surprisingly easy to shoot and run. It gave us great accuracy and was one of the favorites in the mix this year.
