Sharing third place with the Revic is the popular Vortex Razor HD Gen II. This beast of an optic is impressive in person. The fit and finish are second to none, and the layout is well thought out. The glass is clear, though Brandon thought it was clearer than I did. I also found the parallax adjustment left something to be desired, but we both thought the eye relief/eye box gave the shooter a lot of wiggle room. There’s no mistaking when you dial the knobs, either. The clicks are tactile and distinct.
If we’d scored the Vortex based on its weight, the scope would’ve made me happy, but Brandon would have been sad. I like the optical monster and appreciate its 48.5-ounce weight. Sounds just about right for a good target rifle!
