This past April, I visited the Henry Repeating Arms factory in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. During the tour I was introduced to a new version of the Henry Homesteader 9mm semi-automatic carbine. To make it more durable, the Homesteader has been given a Brushed Bronze Cerakote finish. This finish resists wear, corrosion, chemical, and heat. For added versatility, the front of the American walnut forearm has been fitted with an M-LOK slot on each side. This allows the attachment of such accessories as a laser sight, tactical light or bipod. The homesteader can be had with an 18.66-inch barrel or a 16.37-inch 1/2×28 threaded barrel. It’s fitted with a fully adjustable rear peep sight and a ramped post front sight. In standard form, it comes with a 5 and 10-round magazine. Mag well conversion units allow it to be converted to use Glock 17/19, SIG-Sauer or S&W M&P magazines. www.henryusa.com.
