Contender number four is the IWI Zion 15. It’s not exactly a brand-new rifle, but one that regularly comes up in conversations and in classes. IWI has built a great reputation for themselves with their other guns, including the Tavor. The Zion-15 is simply the next logical step in expanding their offerings. The Zion is by far the lowest priced rifle we tested. Coming in at $899, it sits at a price that is very appealing to those looking to get the most for their money. The gun is pretty plain Jane overall. That is not meant to be a disparaging remark, rather a reality. No company can add a ton of features while still offering it at a low price. What you do get for the price, though, is a solid gun. The upper receiver features a full-length Picatinny top rail and a Mil-Spec trigger, which is standard for an M4-variant rifle. The Zion-15 comes equipped with a B5 adjustable stock and B5 grip. It also ships with one 30-round Magpul PMag. No, it is not as sexy as some of the other competitors, but what it lacked in bling it made up for in performance.
