The Dead Air Nomad-30 came in fifth place because it’s a tough, compact design that breaks from the norm, yet it’s built with the toughness that Dead Air is known for. Our test model attaches to the muzzle via the company’s E-Brake, which helps tame recoil on its own. Aside from the compact dimensions, we also liked the Nomad-30’s unique styling, and the fact that the can’s POI shift was less than 1 inch straight up, while still managing a 24-decibel sound reduction
