The IWS6 silencer was designed for use with 6mm and 5.56 rifles, including fully automatic rifles. The overall performance of this silencer surprised me, as the line-up of silencers is a new offering from IWI this year. I did some research to compare this silencer with others of similar design and purpose. The IWS6 weighed less than most competitors and was smaller than the majority as well. The MSRP was right on par with other brands’ offerings.
The silencer’s performance when shooting groups on paper exceeded my expectations. There was a slight POI shift with 5.56 ammunition, but I also attribute some of that to the ammunition, as ammo can group differently even if it’s a similar load. The recoil reduction and perceived sound are excellent with specific types of ammo. The heavier the grain bullet, the better it sounds. IWI offers an aftermarket closed cap, which would make this silencer sound even better than it already does.

Overall, the silencer performs well, is aesthetically pleasing, and comes with a HUB+ attachment or can be used with existing HUB systems. This is an excellent choice in value for the price it retails for.
