The Silencer Central Backcountry is one of their rare application-specific suppressors. The Backcountry is designed for hunters who want the benefits of a suppressor but are concerned about the added weight. The Backcountry is a fixed-length suppressor that measures 5.5” in length and weighs just 7.8 ounces. While it may not sound like much, it makes a world of difference for backcountry hunters who know every ounce matters. This is also a direct thread that can once again lower the weight by avoiding any mounting hub. The Backcountry is made from Titanium and is durable.

The name Backcountry is more than just a nod to hunters. This suppressor was designed in conjunction with Federal Ammunition and their new 7mm Backcountry round. The Silencer Central Backcountry is the official suppressor for that round. I had the pleasure of using this suppressor on a Mule Deer hunt in Texas, along with the Federal 7mm Backcountry ammunition. Both performed well, and I scored a trophy Mule Deer as a result. This is a good suppressor for any hunter who wants suppression without the weight.
