The folks at CZ-USA introduced the P10 F Competition Ready during the last year as a less expensive competition gun in comparison to some of their high-end, all-metal race guns. Building on the already popular polymer-based P10 platform, the P10 F CR has been tweaked in just the right places to add a few extra points to your score come next race day.
The most significant upgrade is the HB Industries Theta Trigger unit that replaces the original trigger. While the P10 series has one of the better stock triggers on the market, the Theta Trigger improves on it nicely by almost completely reducing the pre-travel and also lightening the break to right at 4 pounds of pressure. Even better, the reset is extremely short and extremely positive.

Other upgrades include a gold, titanium-nitride treated barrel to match with a similar treatment on the cover plate at the rear of the slide. An Apex Tactical extended magazine release offers easier access and engagement as does the extended slide stop/release. For a bit more sight radius, the slide and barrel are a half-inch longer, and a fiber-optic front sight offers quick and easy pick-up for precision aiming. Additionally, the slide also gets an extra helping of front and rear serrations compared to the standard P10.
To mate up with the gold accents on the barrel and slide, the three supplied, 19-round magazines also wear gold-anodized base plates from Henning Group. Of course, all of these upgrades are on top of a suite of cutting-edge features found on the standard P10 F like an optics cut, reversible magazine release, ambidextrous slide stop and an accessory rail. When you combine all of these elements with the P10s outstanding ergonomics, you get one hell of a pistol considering its $1,009 MSRP.
