One of the first suppressors I ever bought was the Alaskan360 from Rugged Suppressors. It was the first to use the Rugged Universal Mount (R.U.M.), which allows it to be used with a Rugged rifle or industry-standard mounts. Because the R.U.M. is built from Grade 5 Titanium, it adds minimal weight to the suppressor, which weighs just 11.8 ounces.
My primary use for the Alaskan360 was with my Century Arms AP5. On this 9mm subgun, the suppressor sounds excellent and performs as expected. That said, it sounds and performs a little differently on a rifle. Rugged rates the Alaskan360 for use with rifles up to .338 Lapua, but the larger the caliber, the louder the perceived sound. If you’re planning to use it on a hunting rifle, I would say it’ll do the job. But if you plan to shoot it on the range, firing multiple rounds or magazines, it’s not as pleasant as shooting a 9mm.

Overall, this suppressor is a winner for 9mm, but not what I would recommend for a larger-caliber rifle. Rugged has excellent customer service and makes a quality product no matter what, so in that regard, you can’t go wrong with their brand. In fact, I ended up with a baffle strike, sent it to Rugged, and had it repaired within two weeks. The price is somewhat steep for my use as a 9mm suppressor, but if you are looking for one that can be used on multiple guns, it’s worth it.
