Well, you guessed it: We saved “the best” for last. The winner of the Ballistic’s Best High-End AR-15 category is the Zev Core Elite Rifle from Zev Technologies. While all the rifles were close, the Core Elite rose to the top. The most eye-catching feature that teases you from beneath the handguard is the Zev custom 416R 16-inch fluted match barrel with a beautiful bronze PVD coating. The Core Elite is chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 1:7 twist and a mid-length gas system. The accuracy of this rifle was incredible as it consistently shot the tightest groups among each shooter, while also providing remarkable comfort while shooting in any position.
