The Cimarron Lightning SA revolver has been around for over 20 years and is the brainchild of CEO Mike Harvey. It is basically a scaled-down post 1896-type Single Action Army six-shooter, with the birdshead grip frame of a Model 1877 Colt Lightning. For 2025, it is now being offered in 9mm Luger. The test guns barrel is marked .38 Colt & S&W Spec. and the fluted cylinder is in this chambering, but it comes with an unfluted 9mm cylinder. Converting the Lightning from .38 to 9mm is easy and requires the removal of the cylinder base pin. It is offered in 3.5 and 4.75 inch barrel lengths and the frame is color case-hardened, while the rest of the gun is polished blue. Stocks/grips are one-piece walnut.  The front sight is a half-moon blade and the rear sight a fix notch in the top-strap. It will make a fine companion to the Taylor’s TC73 or other 9mm lever-guns.
