Once the smoke cleared and the scoring was all done, I took the average of all the scores for each gun to crown the overall winner. With very surprising results, we found that the Daniel Defense DDM4V7 narrowly took the crown as this year’s Ballistic’s Best of 2020 in the AR pistol category. The Daniel Defense beat the Bravo Company BCM MCMR by only 0.2 points, with the Rock River RUK-15 coming in a very close third, only losing the first-place position by 0.4 points—a very impressive, extremely close finish for the top three. The main thing that set the Daniel Defense DDM4V7 above the rest was it is moderately priced, has a great look, shot extremely well, has a basic but great set of fixed sights mounted on top and is very lightweight. All the guns tested were very nice and would make great choices for anyone’s AR pistol. However, The DDM4V7 from Daniel Defense is the only gun that gets the honor of being crowned Ballistic’s Best of 2020.
