Ernest Langdon is at it again, but this time he’s making an impact on both ends of the supply chain. In a direct collaboration with Beretta, Langdon has shepherded the development of the new 92G Elite LTT II with his insights on what modifications make the venerable Beretta 92 perform at an even higher level.
As a result, factory upgrades include an Inox barrel and slide with the slide sporting new serrations for a sure grip and easy manipulation. Additional machining and beveling have been done to the frame for better ergonomics and shooter comfort. This includes even better checkering on the front strap for improved recoil control. Finally, the new 92G Elite LTT II integrates Langdon’s patented Lo Mount optic cut in the slide for a more robust mounting solution for popular red dots on the market.

At the other end of the chain, Langdon gets these same pistols direct from Beretta for even more enhancements for those customers wanting to spend the extra money to squeeze out every last drop of performance. These optional enhancements include a trigger job, NP3 finish on internal or external parts, a nitride finish, a flush-cut and re-crowned barrel, and optimized Performance Hammer, and the installation of optic plates and various popular optics.
The 92G I received for review had a DA trigger that was relatively light with a buttery smooth pull. The slim Vertec frame and wrap-around, checkered grip offered a comfortable and secure purchase on the pistol for excellent recoil control. As expected, reliability was superb and the accuracy was excellent with an average of 1.85 inches at 25 yards for three ammo types tried and nine five-shot groups fired. Packing plenty of firepower with its 18-round magazines, the 92G Elite LTT II, with Langdon’s extra TLC, is a fantastic defensive pistol that will help elevate your effectiveness when it matters most.
