Rost Martin’s RM1 series just got a new addition with a full-size version that builds on the success of its predecessors. The RM1 F is a striker-fired, polymer-framed pistol made in Texas as a value-oriented option that still delivers all the best features of a modern fighting pistol.

The RM1 F checks all the boxes with such features as ambidextrous controls, Picatinny rail, effective grip texturing, oversized trigger guard, an optics cut and a hammer-forged barrel that features a reverse crown to preserve accuracy. The RM1 F ships with a standard 17-round magazine as well as an extended 19-round magazine. A nice bonus is the standard RMR plate that ships with each pistol.

With an MSRP of $469, the RM1 F is action-packed with value due to all its features as well as its performance on the line. During testing, the pistol exhibited good to superb accuracy at 25 yards depending on the ammo choice. Reliability was excellent with no malfunctions of any sort with variety of ammunition types. On top of that, the ergos were absolutely on point with a great user interface and high grip purchase on the pistol for solid recoil control.

In short, the RM1 F performs at a level that far exceeds what you would expect for the price, and in today’s high-priced world, that’s a tough proposition to beat.
